Aiding in the crumbling of records on the throws was another Sophomore, Evelynn “Evie” Eldridge, who threw 27’8.5ft in the Shot Put, beating the previous record of 22’8ft which was also set back in 2012. Evie would also go on to compete in Discus and throw 54’4ft. Joining Izzy in the long jump was Freshmen Daniel Zhou, in his first track meet ever, with a jump of 14′ 9.25ft.

Leading the track was the boys 4x800m relay team, which consisted of Sophomore Lucas Miller, Freshmen Carter Pierce and Beck Rich, and Junior Owen Harder. The boys 4x800m relay team set the tone for the rest of the meet by taking first place with a time of 9:39.1. This lead to the girls 4x100m relay team who also took first with a time of 58.3 seconds.

The wins didn’t stop with the relays. Junior Whitney Smith decided to take both the 800m and 1600m titles with a time of 2:43.2 in the 800m race and 6:00.7 in the 1600m race.
