The 7/8 Lady Cougars defeated Southwestern 25-18 on, what was, the last home MS game for the 8th graders.  Aiva Kresge led GCA with 9 points while Danielle McLaughlin and Faith Kresge chipped in 7 and 5 points respectively. Keira Goins added 4 points towards the winning effort.  Morgan Brant, Livia Cameron, and Christina Munsell contributed solid minutes defensively.

The win moved the Lady Cougars to 5-3 on the season and guaranteed them a winning record.  GCA will now move on to the ISSL tourney Wednesday against the winner of tomorrow’s ISD/Trader’s Point matchup.  With a victory, the team will advance to play for the ISSL conference championship.
